Hazlitt is in the midst of a 19-week, 10,000-mile, 35-city Dharma teaching tour across North America. He has received extensive Dharma training over the past eight years from his root teacher, the Great Perfection of Wisdom Lineage holder, His Eminence Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche, a renowned scholar of the Dzogchen Lineage, an ancient Tibetan wisdom tradition of Buddhism. Hazlitt holds Refuge, Lay Practitioner Pratimoksha, Samaya and Bodhisattva Vows.

In 2008, Khenpo Choga granted Hazlitt the title Upasaka Bodhisattva Pema Bhadra Dorje and Dharma Teacher of the Buddha Path.

Hazlitt has received ripening empowerments, personal instruction and extensive Dharma teacher training while attending over 21 retreats with Khenpo Choga and other masters such as His Holiness Dalai Lama. He is a graduate of both Dzogchen Lineage Internship Programs. When not traveling and teaching, Hazlitt lives in Las Vegas and has dedicated his time to fulfilling his kind teacher’s request to benefit all beings by instructing and guiding them in the authentic teachings of the Buddha.

The Bodhisattva Practices
Daylong Nonresidential Retreat (4 Sessions)

The 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva is 14th century text revered by all Tibetan Buddhists. Hazlitt’s talk on this text will provide a treasure trove of Buddhist wisdom that is designed for in-depth practical application.

Attendees can expect to gain a deep understanding of the way of the Bodhisattva. Anyone who deals with difficult people or challenging relationships will find these teachings to be transformative. All are welcome to participate.

Attendees will have the opportunity to request to take a pledge of Bodhicitta at the end of the afternoon. 

Freedom — These liberating instructions are given freely with no expectation of reward, but in accordance with Buddhist tradition, donations to the teacher are needed and appreciated to pay for food and travel expenses to get to the next teaching and to cover other incidentals such as healthcare. Please consider a donation of about $20 per session. No one will be judged or turned away for lack of funds. All are welcome to attend at no cost! Laurel Avenue is very narrow, but don't park with your wheels on the sidewalk or block traffic flow. Parking a block or two away and walking is advised. Go through the gate on the right of the driveway. The entrance to the teaching room is on the back side of the house.
